Gillian Austin

Gillian is the firm's paralegal and brings over 20 years of experience working in civil rights and personal injury law to help with our cases. She joined Kaplan law, LLC in 2010. Gillian is the lead administrator on all files and is the person who often has the most contact with clients throughout the pendency of the case. Gillian is responsible for managing client's records, keeping track of bills and liens, communicating with insurance companies, drafting medical summaries and demand letters. She also aids in litigation by drafting pleadings, managing discovery, preparing exhibits, and aiding at trial. Gillian is often tasked with holding the clients' hand throughout the case and helping to explain the process. She feels greatly rewarded when the client is happy with a successful conclusion of the case.

In her free time Gillian enjoys home improvement projects, working in her garden, and hiking with her dog. When she's exhausted from all of that, she enjoys nothing better than curling up with a glass of wine and a good book.
